Algae, Fungus Or Something Else ?

Hi everyone:

I've noticed something growing off the leaves of my plants, see picture.

It looks like a dark fern, and it is growing.

Can anyone tell me what this is, and whether I should worry about it ?

Your fern is re producing new plantlets, you can pull these off once they sprout leaves but the leaf they are growing on will die off.
