What do you guys recommend to crush some serious algae in my tank? I was just gonna go pick up any large pleco.

Thanks

What are the tank dimensions (length x width x height)?

What is the GH (general hardness), KH (carbonate hardness) and pH of your water supply. This information can usually be obtained from your water supply company's website or by telephoning them. If they can't help you, take a glass full of tap water to the local pet shop and get them to test it for you. Write the results down (in numbers) when they do the tests. And ask them what the results are in (eg: ppm, dGH, or something else).
How long has the tank been set up for?

What other fish do you have in the tank?

What sort of algae is it?
Can you post a picture of the algae?

Do you have driftwood in the tank?

Assuming this is the same issue as in your other thread, and likely diatoms, there are fish that will eat this. But acquiring fish to solve a problem is never advisable as the fish have requirements and may bring issues making things even worse.

I agree with Byron. It’s easier to scrape it off. A lot of fish don’t even like brown algae. Don’t expect a fish or invertebrate to do your job for you. Sorry.
