OK, I'm in a bit of a bad mood right now, and it's not just this tab I've put together for two freaking fish, it's a mix between this and a horrible night at work.

For the two orange ct's, this is the tally I have so far.

54.15 for the fish (alright, I am fine with this).
19.00 for bank charges (exceptable)
-fish were shipped to his agent-
Now, she wants me to pay her 20.05 for priority shipping to my doorstep.

My tally
93.10

For two fish!

:grr: :hyper: :hyper: :grr:

WAHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT IS REALLY #$%^$@! whats rong wit dat laddeeee?? poor you and your wallet! are you still gonna get em

ouch :/ were these the orangies that you bid off aquabid? bad of the seller to not tell you teh absolute grand total for the cost :S

sorry to hear that its been a crappy day gp :( hope you sort things out though :)

aww man!, that blows dude. i know the shipping on my fish was alot and it all came up to about 40 buck for a fish, but theres no way anyone should pay that much for a fish. those fish better be able to talk grant wishes and lay golden eggs because that price is unexeptable :X

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is normal. They're sent to the transhipper and then you have to pay for them to come to you. That's a pretty cheap shipping cost so if I were you I would be happy about it.

edit~It's not fair to badmouth the transhipper...those ladies work extremely hard to get our fish to us, plus (and no offense GP) it's really the buyers responsibility to find out the total. The vast majority of oversea auctions say on them that the buyer is responsiblie for contacting the transhipper for shipping cost and arrangements. It's standard, not BS. :/

im sure its common but there is no way a fish for any other living thing should cost 100 bucks, thats insane, maybe if he was getting like 4 fish it would be an ok price but thats way too much for wat hes getting -_-

i dont' get why they need a transhipper (never had fish mailed to me, so excuse my ignorance), why can't they ship directly from thailand or wahtever to your doorstep?

i notice only that the shipping from the original place (ie. thailand) is alwasy very cheap, but the heafty cost is from the transhipper to your doorstep. Why's that?

Well that may be your opinion and that's fine, however, it was his decision to buy the fish, not yours. I have fish that have cost me $75 before any of the shipping. Personally I would be offended if someone were to say they weren't worth what I was getting. I also don't think GP put up this thread for us to judge what his fish are worth.

Bringing a fish overseas comes with legalities...the transhipper takes care of it for you. :)

well without a trans shipper u would have to go to the airport, pick up ur fish, and then clear it with customs. -_- not somthing u wann do, so i guess its worth paying trans but it is outragiusly overpriced.

hmmm maybe that's why it's so darn difficult to get live fish from the states to canada? :/

sheesh why does the governmetn have to amke everythign so coomplicated

I am behind Sorrell 100%. Those aren't a cheap pair of fish to start with, and I usually figure in that overseas shipping is gonna cost a minimum of $40. So, there is $90 right there. Like Sorrell said, the shipping you are paying is really quite cheap, and you could have avoided money orders if you had to. :dunno: Can't do anything about it now though... let's just hope you do make your money back.

lol ya, but if u think about it, we're lucky they even let us ship liquids anymore with all this terrorist crap happening :/ thats probably a reason to

I've calmed down a bit now. Anywho, I'm just excited to get them, and it's obvious this is my first time buying overseas, but when you get several emails saying you have to send more money, it gets frustrating.

very sry, i didn't mean to insult anyone about that comment, iv seen his new fish and their brilliant, i just mean that its still just a fish, it shouldn't be 100 + dollars. im probably getting carryed away wit this whole thing anyhow. it wasn't the fish that were expensive, just the shipping i guess -_-
