With plants, the nutrients excreted by the fish are used up quickly, so normally you can get away with some overstocking. Plus that yours are all 'friendly' fish, no agression problems.

Even 39W is a lot, for me, anyway. 20-28W, especially of t5 is plenty for a 20g. Even lower, if you didn't want CO2. You could go as low as 14W.

i got a couple new plants today! combomba piauhyensis, chain sword and moneywart. I also trimmed alot of stuff. they are growing just waaaay to fast. Also got a little aquaclear 10 powerhead to circulate a bit more. i noticed the water was very still in the right side of the tank away from the filter. I have the powerhead on the lowest setting, just enough to move all the water around a bit.
