2 Internals Instead Of 1 External?

I want to improve the filter on my 80G tank but dont really want to get an external filter.


i was wondering if i got say 2 x fluval 404 internal filters would that do as good of a job?



also whilst im here.

how loud are external filters?

externals are no louder than a internal but can make the tiniest grumbling noise buts its quite hard to hear that anyway and if your getting 2 fluvals would cost the same as an external.Externals also take up less room in the tank

pitting to filters in your tank does increase the filtratoin on you tank

Fluval 404's are external?
Two internals would be fine and I would of thought quieter. I have two tanks in my living room, a fluval 2+ in a coldwater tank and an Eheim 2210 in the tropical and they are both silent.
