Can anyone give me the step by step on how to get enough light for a 100g custom aquarium? Could I buy the lights at home depot? How many? What type of bulbs?

Metal Halide will be the easiest option for tank over 100G..

but you dont need 300 watts the have a planted tank, you'll be looking at 4x 65w tubes.. there 1.8m long and you have 260watts that high lights for a 100g

My tank isnt 1.8m long, its a triangle (custom built for corners) I was thinking about getting some heavy duty shop lights and hanging them formt he roof, or getting a couple strips? Its harder to have plants in tall tanks isnt it...

not much, but you'll have to make sure you get enough light to the bottom of the tank, and it looks much better..

I love "wersteri" I think its called, a very bushy plant. Anything thats bushy I guess. I know nothing about plants. I think I might buy some strip shop lights or something along those lines!
