Your House Pics

Wow!... Did'nt show us the Butler's and chaufeurs' quarters, but a very nice abode.... You use garden services, or do you keep it as tidy as it is yourself?.... Who needs to go away on holidays if you live in a place like that?

Thank you... No hired hands in this household just kids and a big stick

You use garden services, or do you keep it as tidy as it is yourself?....
I'm into gardening somewhat (must be a legacy from my grandfather) when we moved in it was like a bomb site, all what you see is my own work
from pathways to grass. I would like a formal Koi pond though but she don't think like me....

Everyone needs a holiday Lud! and every man's home is his castle.
If you seen how me and the missus started off in a Back to Back cottage with an outside toilet then I suppose we've come a long way
But it is only Bricks & Mortar and will give the kids something to fight over when we're gone

Thanks for your comments
Regards

Well then the painful tidyness and semitrical design (inside and outside) shows the painful perfectionist in you..... I'd hate to be the one to move anything out of place..... (& then face you afterwards - i can imagine)

BigC, you have a beautiful home. I love the landscaping too.

Wow, how have I not seen this thread yet???
Just great seeing where everyone lives :D BigC, your home is gorgeous! Hope our yard will look that nice eventually heh.

Few photos of our home.... it's nothing special, pretty cookie cutter, but I love it! Not pictured is the master bedroom and bath.. and the kitchen. You don't need to see mess! lol
And as you'll notice we have nice bright offwhite carpet. Just imagine keeping it clean when you have 3 VERY active dogs and a backyard full of nice orange clay colored dirt!

Yard needs to be landscaped better. Hopefully we'll start on that in the fall once we've decided what we want to do, what plants, etc etc.

View from right inside the front door looking in. The shelves (along with a few other pieces) I just got from my mom. They've been in our family for close to 30 years now. Haven't cleaned off some of the vases she's given to me to put on them :)

The front door, oooooooo, aaaaaaaah
house8.jpg

This room is to the left.. has our exercise stuff in it and a tv to watch while we're on the machines.
house10.jpg

The dining room... w/ no dining stuff in it :p lol My pitiful folding chair I use when I want to watch the tank. We'll eventually save up to get a small dining set to go in here :)
house9.jpg

In the dining room photo, you'll see a little opening to the left, that goes to the butler's pantry. It's a big mess b/c of me, but it'll get straightened out... now that I'm thinking about it, I'll do that tomorrow. The butler's pantry connects to a small hallway that goes to the kitchen and the foyer.

In to the living room! Nothing on the walls yet. We're SUCH procrastinators... we have plenty to hang up, we just always put it off though. I'll hang up some stuff tomorrow heh.
house5.jpg

Living room to the sunroom. As you can see, it's pretty much where the dog likes to bring his toys and the cat likes to lay in the boxes we've put there for him heh. Would love to get a couple of recliners and a small endtable to go in between them for this room.
house3.jpg

View to part of the backyard. Hubby wants to make the deck bigger and add a small patio area around it. Hope that'll get done within a year b/c I want a grill dangit! *mentally glares at hubby*
house2.jpg

Living room to breakfast nook (and kitchen to the right of that all connected.
house4.jpg

And then there's a hallway that leads to our computer room, the FROG (finished room over garage), bathroom and the extra bedroom that will hopefully one day be a child's room. That's my desk and the 10gal shrimp tank. Hubby's desk is on the right. It's right when you walk in.

Hopefully, a year from now.... we'll have things looking a lot better. Stuff on the walls and our front and back yards landscaped nicely :D We only just moved in last October and as you can see, we still need to purchase a lot of things to fill up our home some more :) We're slowly working on all of it hehe

You lot make me sick
*looks around disgustingly at her crappy 2 bed place-and angrily looking at partner for not earning enough*

BecciMac.... Rome was'nt built in a day...... Wish I had photos of where I stayed 10 years ago....I am not a snob, but I would'nt want to live there today,.....and I was happy living there... Every house is just a stepping stone to the next...

(I even miss the single bedroom joint I lived in before I got married..... Dunno if it's the "before I got married" or the "joint"...but I miss something) - anybody tells my wife I said so... I'll just deny it.

Thank you Amunet for you kind words on my little blob on the planet
As for your pad, the overall space, WOW its massive, I'll come over and get stuck into your garden, (such potential) I love getting my hands dirty in the great outdoors....Koi Pond maybe
Truly I love those American homes with their colonial frontal façades they seem to have so much character. There are ever so many windows in your house its amazing, never a dull corner.
Nice house, I love the spaciousness and the back yard, well....let me at it.
