I think if someone is willing to pay that much for a betta they probably know how to care for it. I doubt they don't know how much they can actually get a betta for even from a breeder.

Oh yeah. people will bid on it if they see something special. Therefore, don't get surprise or even say redivulous price. Don't forget there is only one and no duplicate. Some people willing to spend those money just like buy a fancy car.
Therefore, breed betta you all and who know someone bid on your betta for over 500. Ohh. I have seen one sold for over one grant before last year. So this one is just half price of that. LOL
