Well my friend is closing a SW tank down and said she will give me some free zoas. She said she got them off ebay a few weeks back. Could i keep them in my FO tank i dont have any LR and my lights are T8 at the moment but in a few weeks (about 3-4) im upgrading my lighting (new tank) to 2 T5 white bulbs (any good?). Could i keep them, well the tank is a 12 gallon (for the moment) and im getting rid of my clownfish and green chromis (both very agressive and fin nip, didn't expect that from a green chromis). so all that will be in there is a firefish.
I just really want them but i dont want them to die, so i dont know what to do.
Well any ideas, the only ones i can remember was pink zoas and fire/red zoas (something like that).

If my tanks not right for them i will just have to get over it.

Thanks

Sean

With supplimental feedings they'd probably do OK. I wouldn't be surprised if their color suffers though... I'd be more concerned with what fish are in there?

That light is OK, but it does not have individual reflectors, and as such will be far less effective than one that does... TBH, I wouldn't buy a T5 fixture without individual reflectors, it's no better than a PC like that.

And yes, I was concerned about your stocking as many FOWLR tanks have coral-nipping fish in them, but firefish are quite reef-safe :)

Could i put reflectors on or do you have a link to some good lights (not ban-kbreaking)?

i thought the firefish would be ok, also i might have to keep the clown the shop said they wont take him back because they have 'nemo' (i know shows how much they know) clownfish in and they wont mix them.

So its a blackfin clown (growing so fast maybe its an illness, in about 3 weeks hes grown atleased 3 quaters of an inch he/she is about 2" now my 24" tank aint gonna last long for long and a firefish wont be getting antmore fish for a long while and when i do they will be small coral safe fish.

Thanks
