Umm ... so yesterday I bought 5 of them to go in my tank, however they're driving me insane! What I read about them was that they're good community fish and can be nippers ... well, they are nippers, that's for sure. They however keep chasing eachother and Never calm down. Is this chasing eachother normal? Seeing as I didnt see them do it in the shop, and havent read anything about it, I'm kinda worried about this.

I have some Zebra Danios that I got yesterday, I'm not sure if it's normal, but 3(sometimes 4) out of 4 of mine are often chasing each other.
I know it wasn't much help, but I really don't know if it's normal.

Finfan :band:

i had 4 and they all did it but then they were all males! so i took 3 back and got some females instead they still do it but not half as much. Sorry if this doesn't help much.

After reading quite some internet sites about them, it only just popped up in my mind to do a search here ;) I found 1 thread saying that it is indeed normal to chase eachother, so I guess we've got nothing to worry about =)

Yes this is perfectly normal :)
They are a very active fish and for this reason you should have them in at least 20gallons. If your tank is smaller than this then the aggression will grow because they will get more and more agitated.
HTH :D

wow i am glad i didnt get any zebra danios at the lfs the other day 20 gal is quite big for them little fish
This only applys to Zebras and Leopards, all other Small danios would be ok in a smaller tank I.e. 13gallons but not these two

yeah i had 12 zebra danios but my lobster managed to catch 4 of them and eat them in my 40g tank :p but anyways..yeah its completely normal for them to do that. they always chase each other just for fun. theyre very active fish..i have 6 in my 30 g. with my lobster and feeder fish and i have 5 red belly piranhas in my 40g. 2 of my zebra danios have managed to escape me through numerous attempts of trying to take them out. so i got lazy and jsut elft them in there. my piranhas dont seem to be attacking them! haha..well those 2 are also just chasing each other. and danios can get lonely, so be sure you have more than ONE.
