I have 6 zebra danios and they are the first inhabitants of my recently cycled 20 long. I have been doing some researching and have come across several accounts of danios coexisting with cichlids. Is this true? Can it be done?

I want to get them some tankmates. Anyone have any suggestions?

If you want cichlids, I'd post this in the cichlid section... those folks will probably know more. However, there are other fish you can keep with danios, including tetras of all kinds, cherry barbs, harlequin rasboras, and many more. Most community fish will go well with them. You can also PM the-wolf... he knows all about danios!
Good luck!

Danios can be kept with cichlids, any dwarf cichlid would be a safe choice (But I have kept an extremely fat danio with a 7" severum :p )
Rams are usually available at petstores and would definately leave danios alone :)

I've seen it and answered the pm I recieved
