Zebra Danio

HI,
my zebra danio in my community tank has all of a sudden started looking very poorly, he is swimming ok and eating the only real thing is he looks really gaunt and skinny ??? his fins are a little ragged too ?
any ideas ?

Can you give us some more background info? What size tank, what fish are in there, have you tested your water, how often do you do water changes?

What does it look like when the fish goes to the toilet, is the anus red and inflamed,and can you see anything prutruding from the anus, does the belly have a sunken in look to it.

Is there only one danio in the tank? He could be not happy alone.

ITs just a community tank, he is not on his own, there are 4 other zebra, a plec, 4 swordtails, 8 penguins and 5 scissor fish. Not sure on the quantity of water but the tank is about 6ft long 5 ft tall and 4 foot deep ! I dont have a detailed testing kit but its just a colour match one and it appears normal ?? I have transferred 2 of my baby mollies over this week but should not think it made any odds !?

Are you sure that's right? Thats equates to almost 900 gallons capacity!!!!

If it is that size then its more like a small lake than a "community tank"!

Do you have any pics? Check your measurements again.
