Not so much an emergency but I really would like your help on a medical matter.
A brief history & then (dun dun duun) the questions. Skip the history if you want but please give my questions a go.

A couple of months ago with the help of members on here I was able to diagnose & treat a Zebra Danio for symmetrical ulcer like wounds which was generally thought to be injuries picked up during netting to move my danios from one tank to another. This was treated firstly with Myaxin then with Melafix until symptoms seemed to have cleared up which was within the seven days recommended.
Right now last week I noticed the same Danio withdrawn & hiding behind my aquaball filter showing no interest in the other Danios even in the lovely plump ready for the taking red bummed females. He showed no symptoms at this time so naturally i tested the water, the water temp was high due to a dodgy heater & my warmlite bulb had gone both now sorted, all stats where fine but done a water change anyway & monitored the situation.
A day or so later I noticed a couple of angry looking patches in exactly the same places as his previous problem so immediately started with melafix, the next day there was a fungus covering the effected area so started with primafix as well as the melafix, within a couple of days the fungus cleared leaving a large angry patch, this has now calmed down & left a large patch where clearly the infection caused tissue damage (loss) but the fish is showing signs of feeling better & is now joining in with the others for small periods of time.

Questions

I feel may be I stopped treatment too early the last time & an infection got into the wound. Is it safe to just to keep using Melafix & Primafix indefinitely? (i've been treating for seven days in total so far) With no obvious fungus should I stop with the Primafix but continue with Melafix? This one may sound obvious but humour me, with the loss of tissue there will obviously be some scarring, a loss of normal pattern as well as colour when should I consider this fish cured & stop treatment?

yes; provided you do a water change as recomended
and have a rest day in between treatments.

when should I consider this fish cured & stop treatment?

when the "wounds" don't look angry/inflamed and there is no black (dead) tissue around it
or white fluffy tissue; basically when it looks healed.

just so you know
symptom(s)
Individual fish stay apart from others. Breathing is normal.
They may refuse food. They mayhave "cloudy" or grey areas on the skin.
There are no other physical signs.

possible cause(s)
1) Fish may be suffering from a parasite problem. Examine the gills.

2) internal/external bacterial disease

3) Early stage of systemic bacterial infection. Isolate and observe

Cheers The-Wolf & Wilder your help is greatly appreciated.

The-Wolf I was just wondering because the last time although it was plain to see where the problem was the colour was normal just a little break in the pattern so I was wondering if it was better to carry on treating for a few days after physical signs have cleared up to prevent a secondary infection or a re-occurrence.

Wilder had a look at the med you high lighted will consider it for the future, the tank set aside for quarantine landed up being used so I’ll have to get another. It says not to use with invertebrates & I have shrimp in all my tanks. Fortunately the med combo I mentioned does appear to have worked & he is joining in with the others more, also he’s showing interest in food
