Hi, can anyone tell me what could be wrong with one of my zebra danios?

I have two, which i brought at the same time (about 18 months ago) one is long finned and the other is not. The long finned one has started to chase the other one around and now it (non-long finned one) doesn't seem to be able to sink. It hovers at the top of the tank and then tries to swim down but ends up going round in circles before floating up to the top again. I have noticed that its spine seems to curve up towards its tail too - it only did this recently.

All water stats are fine and have had no significant changes for the last 6 months or so. I have a 125l tank with external filter, i feed the fish once a day with both flake and sinking pellets for the bottom feeding tank mates.

Other than the two zebra danios i have 1 x red tail shark, 1 x bristle nose, 2 x common plec, 1 x loach, 4 x cherry barbs, 3 x bolivian rams and 3 x black widows.

Can anyone give me some ideas as to how i can help my danio?

Many thanks in advance.

Debbie

it could be old age. The spine can bend with old age.
He sounds like he's dying i'm afraid.
Zebra danio's only live for about 2 years.
