Hi, just thought that i would share my "attempt" at a planted tank with you. It has been through many stages but is now getting to a point where i think its how i want it. Although i will probably keep adding and taking away plants

>350l juwel trigon
>1x 40w T8 "aquaworld aquawhite" bulb (soon to be 2)
>2x 15w T8 "aquaworld aquawhite" bulbs
>Substrate that i cant remember the name of, topped with black gravel
>Daily dose of Flourish Excel
>Just started dosing Flourish as well
>10-15% water changes a week

Any comments good or bad and how i could improve in any way are much appreciated.

Nice to see a larger planted aquarium. How long has it been setup? I don't feel like converting would you or someone else be so kind as to convert the liters to gallons for me? I'm guessing around 90g based on the math in my head.

It is a good start if it is newly setup. You don't have huge amounts of light, but that is not a bad thing. Some very big plants in there and I am going to steal your angelfish. :shifty:

Do you want this moved to the journal section? Might as well make a journal out of it. We like updated pictures here and this is a tank that I'd like to keep watching.

cant see anything wrong with that, i like the height of the plants, i couldnt get them to grow very well at all in the trigon 190 you got special lights or something, or is it really new, di

It been setup for about 4 or 5 months now. Its 92 us gallons or 77 uk gallons. I would like to up the lighting but am unsure of how to do this so any advice please....

Im going to be passing the angelfish on soon, they are both male i believe and the smaller of the 2 keeps picking on the larger 1.

Yea may as well be moved over to the journal section. The tank is moving house soon so no doubt the layout etc will be changing. During the move im going to be taking out the juwel internal filter as well so i have more room to plant.

I actually only just brought the tall amazon swords from a guy on here. Im hoping they do as well in my tank as they did his.

Ive found that with the trigons the light does not reach the edges of the tank very well, so all the plants tend to lean in towards the middle as you can see from the plants on the right.
