I just got my RO Unit and I think I just had better expectations. I have it hooked to an indoors garden spout. It is rated at 100gpd
So, that means it will only fill approx. 4.1 gallons an hour. Is this correct. I don't really care, however, I just want to make sure it's working correctly.

How do people using a 60 gpd do it? That would mean it would it would take a full 24 hours to fill a 60 gallon tank?

Your input is appreciated!

Thanks,
Justin

Most people have an added storage tank so that when they want RO water it is already there. A 100 gpd unit is the peak and normally you won't have enough pressure or temperature to get this and it will be less output. I started with a 10 gpd (as it was an existing drinking water system) and it took me two weeks to fill my 120 the first time. Now it has a 75 gpd membrane and a 30 gal storage tank. When I want water I open a valve and it comes out just like it does the tap - no waiting. Unless I want more than 30 gal and that isn't often.

You're all doing better than I am. I have a 6 stage rated at 110gph. It takes me more than 24 hours to make 5 gallons. SH
