What kind is it...? I had bigger tarantulas in my hand and on my arm and climbing up my chest. An old friend of my late dad used to keep them.
But I'm really curious of what kind of spider it might be that you're holding?

, but it was sadly dead when I found it it drown in my duck's feed dish that filled with water when it rained last night.I would have still held it even if it was still alive. I love large spiders, very unique. On the other hand, my mom won't get within 10 feet of it and thinks it might still 'wake up' lol.
I pulled him out of the dish and stretched him out on a paper towel hoping he was still alive but I'm afraid not.
I guess they can get up to 3.5 inches, which is over twice as big as the guy I found.

My mom is completely disturbed knowing there are spiders in Minnesota that big.

I had a major case of the heebie jeebies when I saw that picture. 
Soo cute 
In my basement live wolf spiders. They are large, furry and bite. Yikes!
I used to catch those guys all the time!
