Was interested in 100 mls tub of tropical green algae wafers, costing £4. 4 pence, sold by Olibetta UK which looked good, until the postage came up, £6,90 pence.

Hi, @Country joe I use Olibetta quite often and have even ordered tanks from them previously with great delivery quality. The Company Olibetta UK is just the translated English page as the actual company is based in Austria including its warehouse and shipping. That is the reason for the £6.90 delivery cost under orders of £59.89.

If you go on their main site it will pop up with this to forward you to the UK site.

Another example is their Italian site. Delivery is still from Austria and the ITA site is the translated page same as UK site.



An alternative UK-based company I also use is aquacadabra there is the algae wafer selection they have - https/aquacadabra.com/search?q=alage+wafer&options[prefix]=last

I do use aquacadabra, just checked the olibetta site I was on and it is, olibetta uk and putting that item in their basket, that is the delivery price. Which they send by courier, which I can see the point if a large priced item. But a £4 tub of fish food.
