Hello all, just want to say this is a great site ive learnt allot from it ,from fishless cycling to CO2 planted tanks.

So ive been into aquariums for a few years, bought my first tank two years ago and it was good for a while but been new turned into a disaster  so not long after my tank was bought and then i broke it down until i settled into my new home and 2 years later I set the same tank up,followed the advise givin on here and started from basics and i think i have cracked it...for now

It a 25g planted tank that has been set up for about 8 weeks now with no out brakes of algae or hardly any at all as I always monitor the water and CO2 level to keep it optimum.

Fish range from Gorumis, female and male, neons, plecs and blue ram.

Hope you like the pics let me know your likes and dislikes

That water looks crystal clear!
I love the moss balls, and of course the bubbles!
A very clean looking tank, and the fish have plenty of swimming space

Thats lovely!! Ive never been good with real plants!! looking very good fair play!

 Your moss balls are so clean! Can I ask how you get your water so clear? :)

But that is a great tank! :)

A nice planted tank, very lush growth.

What plecs have you got in there? Mine are currently munching their way through my nicely planted tank.

Thanks for the kind words

I just keep good ritual of 50% water change everyweek and make sure the filters are clean ect,but the CO2 works well to regulate the PH level just right for the fish, plant growth and to keep algae down to hardly any at all :hyper:

I don't know what the plecs are called, but the LFS told me they will not grow any bigger than 4 inches? don't know how true this is? ive added a pic.

But sadly my Blue Ram passed away last night and im confused in how or why he did? there was no early signs on fin clam, hiding or not feeding infact he was quite active!
No visual signs either...help.

The rest of my tank is normal and no signs of stress ect..

I've taken some pictures so hopefully someone with more experience can shed some light and I will get my water parameters tonight but i know they are right.
There are some light red dots on the side of the ram and i dont know if this is normal and ive read that if they have slimy bodies this means some sort of disease? but I cant compare..

Thanks anyway.

Tank looks great :good: , not too sure about your plecs, the reddish colour on your ram is probably because it was a female, females have a reddish belly.
German blue rams are sensitive to water conditions and need their water to be near perfect, so mayeb something went wrong with your water stats -_-

Not sure but that looks like a common plec to me, could be wrong I'm not too good with plecos so someone else will be able to help you out there. You should post the pic of your Blue Rams in the Emergency Section I'm sure you could get a good explanation from someone like Wilder.

Very nice tank, lovely plants the CO2 seems to be doing the trick :good:

very nice tank.i think they a some sort of dwarf plec and only grow bout 5 inches.my dad has one that is about 3cm big.lol

As I said I may be wrong, it could be a dwarf plec it could be a common plec

Lovely tank! I would say those plecs are Bristlenose plecos. You may have two females there (hence no bristles on their noses). They stay around that size.
