What are your plans with all the babies? (I found out that one of my guppies may be a girl and am planning ahead)

Thanks :)

I sold 16 fry last month and there's another dozen or so ready to go soon :)

I'll have to try selling mine (if any babies are made). One store by me said they wouldn't take them till the fish are nearly 1" long and I won't have a place to put them in the meantime. Another store adopts babies. . .they won't pay me but will promise a good home for them. I've already asked friends if they'd want babies and all said NO WAY. lol

My lfs won't give me anything for them, but they will willingly take them off my hands

I put an ad in the local free paper selling them for 50p each, they soon went :)

I do intend to keep some, there's a nice blue platy colouring up,the white spotted male may be the father has i can see black spots appearing.see what its like when its older.

I find the best way to move along fish that are surplus in my tanks is to offer them at a club auction. Around where I live, any club auction seems to be open to outsiders selling their fish. There are 3 within striking distance to me, one of which is my own club. I just missed a sale at the Tri-county club auction but another will be arriving on Nov 15 at Circle City. I have a surplus of endlers, rainbow cichlids, a few different species of goodeids and even have some aquarium plants to move along. The end result is likely to be that my buys at the next auction won't cost me very much out of pocket. I even had the Tri-county club send me a check in the mail after an auction last spring because I spent less than what I sold. That is a rare occurrence when I see all the nice fish that are often offered at these club auctions.
