I have only just got my PFK nano tank. I have used a substrate called Columbo, gravel, stones, rotala rotundifolia, crinum calamistratum and cabomba. Also some beech twigs with a mossball suspended. I dont want too quick growth but also dont want algae- so should I put some CO2 in? Here is the tank after 7 days. P3020110.JPG

Awsome ! Looks like it's coming on well. From what i here if you need to lower your Ph or prevent algae and make your plants grow quicker get co2.

Thats a really cute tank!

I think for nice looking growth co2 would be really helpful, thought yes, it will make things grow faster (light dependent) How much light do you have on it?

Really nicely scaped!

No matter how many of these tanks are around everyone is pretty unique to there owner. I'v wanted to do one for a while but... dont have the money or time currently. It's always great to see what people come up with. Keep up the good work bro. Get some co2 in there for sure :0

Excellent little tank, really nice scape. I guess Co2 depends on how much light you have and how fast you want things to grow. If the tank is low light and you don’t want fast growth then you don’t need Co2.

You're all making me jealous, after my twigs plan went mouldy, I'm now stuck with design ideas......the tank above looks really nice, I like the mix of substrate/rocks, works very well!

Very nice tank :good:.
If you stick with the supplied light and use fast growers, they wont grow too fast and you shouldent have an algae problem.

Since I added a second 11w light to mine, I now have an algae problem and the growth in my fast growers is unmanageable, I've taken steps to fix this though..
