Hi there . i think you will find that most people change there tubes about every 6 to 12 months .so your long over due .if it where me i would have a look at the Interpet Tri Plus and the Interpet Daylight Plus for very good results .i would go with one of each the Interpet Daylight Plus is on the green side as well .

Hi,

I have just got two Daylight plus tubes and the difference it made to the tank was unreal. I also put some reflectors in at the same time which is probably making a huge difference as well. Although the daylight plus tubes have built in reflectors, which I did not realise at the time.

Do they really have built in reflectors? Does this include the 55W twin compacts? or do you mean they come like the Hot5 complete unit?

yea but the thing is i dont want to spend so much money on lights that i have to replace every 6 months so i want to go with standard spectrums what would be my best choise of spectrum plus some brands arnt avaliable here in israel and ordering one from far away would even add to the big expence in the first place

dose anyone know which standard lighting spectrum is best for plants?
