I had been treating a guppy for a suspected case of velvet that unfortunately died.
One of the other guppies that was in the tank with the sick one was displaying swollen gills on one side and quite red looking, this didnt get better with the treatment i was using and now to top it all off the guppy seems to be getting skinny and has a sunken looking belly. i've gone ahead and ordered some flubenol and will try treating with this when it arrives (if the poor fish survives, stupid weekends)
She is still eating ravenously as normal and seems pretty active and sociable. its just the swollen gills, rapid breathing and skinnyness.
I'm suspecting the problem is some kind of internal parasite, could this be the case? and have i ordered the right meds for the job?
Thanks again
