Ok I know you folks are probably sick to death of this question, but I am going to ask it again because I really honestly don't know.
I have had this swordtail for about a year now. When I got her, she was pregnant, and within I'd say a month she gave birth to about 35-40 fry (sadly only one survived - don't ask, long story :/). After she gave birth, she slimmed down for a while but then began to pudge out again...but has been pudgy for months now with no sign of any further fry. I managed to snap a picture of her today and wanted to ask what you all thought. You guys have way more experience with this than I do.

Is this fish perpetually pregnant or is she just fat?! :dunno:

Fat fish or expectant mother - YOU make the call!

I apologize for asking the same question a dozen others have asked!

Nice pic ...
She looks pregnant to me but then again I don't have swordtails
I have all guppies (most of what didn't died, like 2) the one guppy I have has been pregnant for almost 3 months now
Good Luck
Erin

She's probably too stressed...are you looking and peeking at her constantly? Are the males like pestering her?? Has she gotten sick lately?

Yep, she looks prego all right!! Like Plysha just suggested, maybe she's stressed out. If you can somehow isolate her and put her in a quiet tank by herself, that could help. If not, just leave her alone, and keep watching for babies.
