The guppy curse has ended. I have now had 2 male guppies for over a month no problems. Up to now they die within 2 weeks but these two are going strong. One is a blue delta lyretail and I've had him 6 weeks and the other is a rescue fish that looked terrible but I got him anyway. His tail grew out and he is now happily chasing the females around the tank. Funny thing is years ago B.C. (before computers) I had guppies no problem but couldn't keep the other livebearers alive. Son now wants to set up a guppy tank.

I am originally from America and have kept and bred guppies for years. I am glad you finally have it sussed! I have to admit the Guppies you get in america are far nicer than here in the UK. If I could import them I would lol

I'd love to see a pic of your blue delta lyretail. If you find the thread on here called " Pics of ur Fish" I have posted some of my lyretails in there.

Well done

:good: :good:

If you like America better, why did you move? I have to say, we do have some very nice guppies!!!!!!!!!!!!! You should import. Go AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you should read the thread again, no one said anything about me not liking the UK or the US

I have dual citizenship and like it that way.

The quality of commercial guppies in america are much better than what you buy in the shops here. But make no mistake the UK breeders are right up there. They are just very hard to locate.
