Yes! the moment ive all been waiting for...well since its past 12:00 it is my birthday!!! and today I will be going to my local pet store to see the new rams and keyhole Cichlids there getting in!! do you think 1 ram and 1 keyhole would do ok in my 25 gal planted tank? i cant make up my mind on which to get i mean i love German Blue Rams for the color and could fit two in my tank, but then I love Keyholes because of the size they get...what would you perfer?

Congartulations...IMO, i would go for 2 keyholes or 4 Blue Rams....its kinda hard to see how big a 25 gallon planted tank would be like....but personally, i would have a at least 2 of each species rather than have one of each....

I have 2 keyholes - they are lovely. If you do go for a pair just watch out for them for a while - they will be very nervous, most likely sitting at the bottom doing not much, but after a few days they will come round and should be very active fish.
I personally would rather have the keyholes than the rams because they grow to a nicer size.

waaw thanks guyz! ill keep this in mind i might go for 2 female and 1 male ram just because i would like to breed them and make a little $$ selling em. i love the colors of the rams but i like the size of the keyhole better so im kind of stuck inbetween ill see what they have in...

Cool, keyholes are suppsed to be easy to breed - yet mine haven't - I think it's cos my ph is too high.

well i would go with them but i dont think ill have enough room in my tank for both of them to be happy at there adult size and i really want to start breeding fish so i think ill go with these and see what happens i might also pick up a femal CT betta to bred with my male CT betta although im unexperinced at breeding anything

I like the blue rams best - they are well pretty. They're good little characters too - really friendly and interested in everything you're doing!

yeah me2 i luv the colors and they get bigger then your avg. comm. tank fish i luv how they r smarter then most of em and take great care of there fry like discus do!

Good luck breeding your rams...btw, you say your thinking about breeding bettas...i also thought about it and realised the hard work needed to breed them....just go to the helpful betta forum if you need extra help on breeding these fish...
