I wanted to know if it would be ok in a 30 gallon tank, its only 2 inches right now. Just curious

Yikes; Anampses (Tamarins) have a terrible survival rate in aquaria. If it is feeding on standard food, it will probably do all right.

In addition, I would not put one in a 30g. It's too small for the fish longterm.
