Yellow Malawi

Looks good but don't know what kind of fish it is to read up on and if its any good for a communal tank?

I indeed have one, ive had it for 6 months now and it mixes well with my barbs and cichlids, very bright yellow and attractive looking giving a bit of colour to the tank.

Everywhere you read, though, insists on a tank of their own and they are v aggressive etc, but ive no probs at all

malawis are NOT community fish, they should be in a 'species' tank with just malawi cichlids

i have this fish in my mixed cichlid tank - i personally would not put them in a communal tank, gawd, it would wipe them out, i cannot remember what it was like when it was young, but certainly now an adult, it does have aggression

there aggressive anything that will fit in his mouth will be eaton, i had one given me and it wiped out 12neons in one night, so it also become live bait (evil lol)
