My dominant male EY was having what looked like an epileptic fit this morning....with the female circling around him.....n e ways....the phone rang and I didn't see anything else...
NOW, the female has been hiding all day....till feed time...she came out, the mad rush for food started except for her....she doesn't seem to be eating. So I got suspicious and checked her mouth. Yup, theres gotta be eggs in there....her mouth is too distended for it to be anything else
So, I wanna keep some of these fry (since it seems all but one of the last batch were eaten).....
She is 3 and a 1/2 inches long....The only tank she can really go into is the 10gal...which has guppies, guppy fry and a swordtail......would her being in there stress the other fish out? I think the babies are big enough not to be eaten....but it could be too stressful. I mean, she is pretty huge....
SO, if I can catch her I will do some rearranging of the tanks to rehouse the other fish and let her brood her eggs in peace and release them into safety when she is ready....
EEEEKKK!!!! So exciting....the little EY baby is now only 4 weeks old
