Hey,
I just got a yellow eyed tang yesterday. I traded a buddy some coral for him and didnt see the fish until it was in the bag. Its really really pale. He had to rip apart his tank to get it. Its doing fine now in my 110gallon reef. Is the fish just stressed or will it not get its color back? I've never had a fish so stressed before it lost its color.

Hes stressed. His colour will come back. reglar feeding help tangs to settle quicker. make sure hes got food constantly available, like nori sheets. You should really look into QT for tangs as they are quite soft when it comes to parasites

This thread is pretty old, but I have a yellow eye tang myself. They rarely eat nori sheets. Actually it rarely eats any food I put in. It only occasionally eats a pellet or flake. They prefer to eat algae of all kinds off of your LR, so make sure there's plenty of it. Mine's been alive for 3 months now, so I know its not starving.
