Very unique tank setup. I like it alot and I've always liked yellow bettas(i have a mustard gas which is yellow and blue).

well, this is the guy that didn't eat for two months and had a hole eaten through his one side. He's still very very underweight but he's got his energy back. He's even strong enough to flare at the other boys. I doubt i'll ever put him in one of the big tanks so he could use a bit of spoiling in his 2.5. Plus in the small tank i can keep him on my desk and he's become very social so it's better for him. He's gonna get some java moss when it arrives if he's a good fish

plus i need some more blue marbles for the bottom. He looks really good with the light on him (which it isn't in the picture) with the yellow against the dark blue The plant is just bamboo, you can get it pretty much anywhere -lol-

Nice tank and betta but I take it you don't have a lid as the plant is coming out of the water? Bettas can jump really well and I would hate you to come home one day to find a betta crisp on the floor

nope, no lid at the moment. I had saran wrap to begin with, but I have to make a custom one to accomodate for the plants. It's easy enough, I used that plastic canvas stuff to make a lid for my betta ten gallon since, with the divider clips and a light clipped on one side, and the filter at the center rather than the left hand side, a normal hood wouldn't fit flat. I'm working on something similar for this tank

and yes, crispy betta would be very sad after all this poor guy went through
