Hiya

Im new to this forum *says hello*, and have been advised by a lady who I got some fish off the other night, to come here about the above fish.

I bought 3 of them off Ebay, 1 male and 2 females, unfortunately the 2 females died so I only have the male left now.

I would like to get a couple more females to him but cant find anywhere local that stocks them or can get hold of them.

Does anyone on here know of anywhere I can get them from that is local to Manchester?

Here is a pic of the male (hes at the top in the pic, the bottom one is one of the females - pic was taken before they died).

He is a lovely fish and really placid considering his size (hes about 4 inches long).

So any ideas of where I could get 1 or 2 females from (I dont mind them being juveniles).

Thanks alot

Catherine :)

Im guessing no one has any info on these lovely cichlids.

I think Im going to have to leave my phone no in various fish shops to see if they get some in.

Hiya again

Im still looking for some females to keep my male company, I was wondering if anyone knew anywhere that had them, or if anyone on here had any to sell.

Thanks

Catherine

Hiya

Thanks for the compliment about him, he is a lovely fish, very friendly, greets me at the tank, eats out of my hand etc, why on earth they are not sold I dont know.

Ive tried the link you left, it brought up one shop (Dartford Aquatics) who sold them. When I rang them, they were £11 per fish (only 1 to 1 1/2 in at the mo) plus £15 delivery, which makes them really expensive when you want 2 or 3 females.

All my local shops know Im after them, so if someone got rid of them to a shop, they would contact me. BAS in Bolton, Pier Aquatics in Wigan, and a few Maidenhead Aquatics have my details too if they get any in.

The guy at Dartford Aquatics was right when he said they were rare, I cant understand why cos they are a great peaceful fish.
