Well my 24k gold molly female had the fry last night. After she aborted 3 of the fry 2 days ago I put her back in the main tank to calm down and last night she had another 20 LIVE fry! (2 later died). The thing is that all of the fry are the same color. BLACK from the head down and the head is WHITE (gold maybe but looks white right now). Is this the typical molly fry color? I have only had guppy fry and those always take at least a week to get color so I am new at this!!! ANybody had the same color in molly fry???? Just curious! I have no idea who the dad is as I have never had a male molly only females and she took 4 months to have this first batch! Also anither question. I know they can store sperm so will she again be pregnant with no male??? It took so long for the first batch I am not sure if there is any more sperm in there!!! ANyways thanks for taking the time to read this. Very excited!!!! :D

Well, you never know what kind of male she bred with. Dalmation, perhaps. Who knows. Also, Mollies can change color somewhat as they age, so you'll basically have to wait and see what they come out like! :good:

And yes, most likely she has enough sperm to have another batch.

From my experience, my female molly always give birth to various colours of fry differ from hers, this is depending on what is the male colour.

I got this silver female molly which gave birth recently, in the same batch I have pure silver fry, silver with black line on the fin fry, grey fry.

Yeah I think your female molly still kept some sperm for another pregnancy. Good luck :)

You're also forgetting that the fry culd be adifferent color to both parents because the parents could be carrying colors (genetics-wise). Unless both parents came from a long pure-breeding line, you can't predict the exact colors of the fry with accuracy.
