YAYAYYyYyyyy I got my 100 gal, it's all set up and has sand and my fish love it! I got lots of new plants from greenline and it's all great and healthy and no nitrite spike (using lots of little cycled internals as well as the big juwel one). Some of the fish are burrowing in the sand and that is lovely they love it yay!

I don't know which kind of cichlid they are... they were labelled as 'dwarf jewel cichlid' in the shop and I've had them for maybe three months or so and they've been fine so far...

OH WOW!!! Yes I do have mms, I will do that asap and post pics, including some of the dwarf cichlids.

what sizes did you go from? I couldnt believe the jump in size from my 35 to my 90... the fish all look so small again.

I combined a 30 gal and an overstocked 45 gal, into the 100 gal.

The pics... I can't seem to find how to send an email with my phone... i'm so thick, could someone explain please? I have a panasonic x70 and I'm on orange.

There were two casualties in the change though... one fatal and one not so serious.

MY HEATER DIED!!!!!! I put all the fish in buckets while I was moving tanks around, setting up etc, and each bucket had a heater and a cycled small internal filter. Well... when I put the fish back in, I thought I'd disconnected them all from the mains but I had actually left one heater still connected. It was sitting on the sofa and I'm very lucky I didn't cause a fire. Next thing I know, burning rubber!! It burnt through it's sucker thing. Then I became incredubly stupid and panicked and ran cold water over it... and surprise surprise... *POP* I was lucky it didn't hit me.

FLYING FOX INJURED he panicked and swam into an ornament way too small for him and couldn't get out again and trapped himself half in and half out of a small hole. I eventually got him out with brute force. He has scraped his scales off and it looks a bit sore so I'm treating him with melafix... other than that he seems fine.
