Yeah, that's what im dreading. I'm happy though that the male isnt drifting from the nest. He is staying under looking at the floor etc. Still a few eggs on the floor. I'm still in shock i managed to do it

see ig you can slip a white peice of paper under the tank. he wont see his reglection hopefully and go grab them. can you see eggs in the nest?

water level is a bit low and its on my dining table so it's a bit hard to see into it at the moment. He is catching things and there is no female anymore so i presume he is catching the eggs anything else i should know???

i use a flashlight to look for eggs. i do it in the dark, and try not to hit the male witht the light.

u should keep times logged so you kinda know when the eggs are going to hatch. and then when 1st feeding.

but u really should try to find the eggs.

hmm the male is under his nest all the time so would be hard using a torch on them... erm...tonight i could have a look if he wanders off but i doubt he will. So far he is being a good daddy,catching eggs, putting them back in. Female only has fin damage and the male is un touched so im happy about that. plus it was both their first spawn so im pretty happy. He is still guarding nest etc so im hopful

I know, int it lol. I remember talking to you about 4-5 months ago on msn showing you a webcam of one of my spawn attempts lol. Aggeeesss Ago! but he is still being a good dad, whenever i walk throug he is doing what he does best, sorting the nest.

Nope lol, but this one is going great. The male hsant drifted from the nest all day. And he picks up any eggs that fall down hopfully tomorow we will see some tails in there

I don;t think i'll ever get into breeding, as i'd feel horrible if i didn't find tanks at least 1 g for each and every one, and I really don't wanna contribute to bettas in a cup....

Thanks gank im keeping these babies in 2 litre bottles when they are ready to be jarred. Best i can find. A couple will get 3 Litre ones lol as i tend to find a couple of 3 Litre drinks bottles in Iceland alot so i get them but ill be keeping ALOT of these fish if they survive as i want some females for my sorority im setting up PLUS im going for an F2 on them

haha. Be sure to rearrange the sorority tank when you add some in, so as to make it hard for those bettas to tell what territory used to be theirs....

and yeah, three liter bottles of third brand soda rocks! More soda and saves money so you can spend it on fish

I dont have any female bettas in there yet. Hence the when i get them ill set it up bit anyway. the bottles are alot cheaper than buying the masonry jars etc spawn is still looking good atm
