I finally caved in and picked up 3 spotted corys for my discus tank. I love watching these guys swim around. They are the most funny and most delightful fish I've ever had the pleasure of keeping! I've heard that they're omnivorous, but do any of you cory lovers out there have particular foods (and brands) that you feed your corys? Thanks!

u could feed them algee wafer i think. mine eat shrimp pellets

Hi Abernathy :)

Congratulations on your new corys!

Corys are omnivorous but like a diet heavy on meat. If you feed your discus live or frozen blackworms or tubifex worms, the corys will enjoy them too.

They also like spirulina discs and algae wafers and shrimp pellets. It's usually very easy to make a cory happy.

There are many corys called "spotted." Do you know which one you got? Here's a link with pictures to help you decide if they did not tell you at the lfs.

Mine jump on algae wafers like they were starving even though I can feed them their usual wafers with meat protein too.
