So my bf was in an extra good mood today so I got to drag him around to all of the petstores muahaha.
Well we eventually ended up at Petsmart to get one of those Nutrafin CO2 things and a pH tester (which they were out of)... and of course I had to look through the bettas.
MAN did they have a ton of absolutely gorgeous bettas.
They had like 6 CT males in cups by a very large group of females and then a ton of VT males in those cubbies above their main tanks.
There was this one CT male that had a chocolate body with yellow fins.. VERY pretty, and one behind him with a whitish body, with red and blue on it's fins.. also VERY pretty. And their VTs... there was this really neat looking guy. He had yellow and light blue splotches all over him. He was very unique looking.
But of course not having a spare tank, I could only drool.
Well looking through the females, they had alot of really small girls, and I just so happen to mention that we could have some in our main 28 gallon tank.
So.. I got to get one! YAAAY!
She's SO cute! She's sporting some serious stress stripes, but as soon as she went into the tank, she was exploring every inch. She's a very cute little CT female.. which I couldn't pass up since I don't see them often for sale, plus she's blue which is the color I wanted next
I wanted 2 other ones that they had (actually I wanted them all, but ya know heh)... but I could only get one
I'm this much closer to getting my 20 gallon long though! Petsmart had a tank for sale for 27 dollars.. so one of these days! *nodnod* When I get it.. Bluebell will probably end up going into it.
So anyways! Here she is in all of her stress striped cuteness! I decided on the name Bluebell, b/c I wanted to keep it simple heh. I am kinda worried about feeding her b/c the surface of the tank has alot of movement.. so I hope she'll catch on that I'm the food bringer and will come up to get her food.
Her in her cup of nasty blue water
I dumped the bag into a ziplock to float her.
And her exploring the tank (actually she was staring at me when I took these heh)
And some pics of my other babies!
Redid Caine's tank. Took out the red gravel and put in a very thin layer of blue...gives him alot more room to swim around
And closeups of my pretty boy
And some pics of Afia and Raj! I swear Afia is the hardest fish to photograph! Doesn't help that the tank makes it more difficult by not wanting to let the flash work the way it should.. grrr...
And a pic of the dual beggers hehe
