Got my male blue throat trigger today, BUT also got a female :p , were a pair, theyre a bit bigger than i'd have liked, but was assured that they are a true pair, got him/them by complete accident, i ordered a small male through my lfs, was told they'd have one for friday just gone, phoned up - no fish!! couldnt get one! , so i was bored on saturday afternoon and went on a drive around to two other lfs not too far away to see what they had, but they had nothing special in either so decided to drive a little further to shop where ste2k3 works, was looking at the coral tanks, looked at the price list and noticed pair blue throat triggers on theyre, looked in tank and they were hidden behind some seaweedy thing, asked if they were both ok to go into my tank, they were, so got them!! :D , im really well chuffed, cheers navarre!!. They are both very shy still, the female more than the male, but are slowly venturing out more, and this morning when i looked at the tank, everything was still there, but they dont seem to want to eat at the moment -_- , but no doubt they will soon enough!!!
Will get some pics on when i get a decent pic of them

Thats great news! i have seen pairs in tanks and they really look fantastic together

A word of warning though. It seems the death of mine was not an isolated case. Over the last 2 months 2 people I know with bluethroats have had their fish take a "leap of faith". 1 was saved but the other didnt make it

These triggers are very nervous and although they will eventually get bolder and swim to the front of the tank, they will still be nervous of sudden movments outside the tank etc so give them plenty of rockwork to retreat to. If your tank isnot covered then please, please, please cover it and cover it well as the last bluethroat jumped through a 1" gap :-(

Look after them well and they wil give you years of entertainment. Even though they are not the most colourful fish in the marinw worl they will soon become your most endeering fish

Best of luck with them

Cheers, Im getting some glass plates to put over the tank after what happened to my gobies, but wont it get the water a lot hotter?, . As for the rock work, i built it up with loads of channels and caves, within them, it has worked better than i had hoped, they both go in one way and come out somewhere completely different, the female has already got her own cave for the night, dont know where the male goes though???
