in the papers today was a 5x3 tank which i'll be veiwing on saturday night after work.

they weren't too sure of the height but as long as it isn't over 30" i should beable to park it in the spot i want it to be in.

it comes with a heaters and filtration of an external nature but they didn't know the make/model.

can't wait to see it!! would be £150ish

Sounds good!

I have a 20 gallon tank now.

I want to get a muhc larger tank, like 90 gallons or so because I love sharks and want to keep a few at home... too bad I can't for now

Remember that if it is over 24" high and 24" wide you will have trouble fitting it through a standard sized door frame, my 30" wide tank had to be turned on its side onto its tall side (24") so that it could pass through the doors in my flat. The standard gap between the door stops in the frame of most single doors is about 29 inches so anything larger than this may need to have the door frame or a window removed to fit it into the house.

You will definitely enjoy this tank. :) I know that buying the 125 Gallon I have (6') was one of the best things I could have done.

At 150.00 that is an excellent price if it has decent filteratoin and includes the stand. Did they say if it included lighting? Even without that is still a good deal. :)

yeh I had thought about the doors and all of ours leading to the room it's going to rest in are 29inch some a bit wider, so fingers crossed it isn't more than that as i don't think my dad will be too keen on getting the window removed :( if he was that would be easiest though.

I was wondering how your meant to maintain the back half of the tank, you you hang above the tank on a harness??

Doesn't come with a stand or hood as the guy they bought it from had it all built in, so i'll probs go about making a over hanging light unit. I'll just be buying a 3 rows of concrete blocks to stand it on, weight isn't an issue as it's a solid concrete floor.

I'm hoping i'm going to love it aswell, I'll be sticking a load of oddballs and catfish in there, so expect lots of Q's in oddballs if i get it!!

oh yay.....the tank is now mine:D

i went round after work and it is truely HUGE

and the filtration.....it has a sump to say the least!! sumps about 2x1x2 which about 5 different medias in there.

It had a box of lots of random stuff which i didn't really look through properly, saw a few heaters, inlet outlet/pipes which were 1 1/4 pond fittings!!

The tank it's self has a small ish box section in on the back middle i guess to house the pump in there, glass looked bloody thick aswell. Will need to get some glass sliders made up for it though.

I'm getting it delivered after work tomorrow at aorund 4-30 so expect some pictures up then!

My main question is what would the "volume rating" be on the sump tank? should i run a few externals aswell?

I'ved got a few fish eyed up at work! a 1ft albino oscar turned up today
