With xmas coming, people are asking me what I want. Apart from the normal tropical fish books that I have plenty of, what do recom would be usefull / helpful / good that they may be able to buy me that would add to my accessories etx that I would find good ie, maybe more test kits etx.

Anyone got any good ideas?

It depends what you're interested in, what set ups you have and getting you something you don't have already.

Maybe ask for money, or vouchers? TBH if you can't fit in any more tanks, you don't need a great deal more, and you don't want them buying you fish without knowing what they're getting you

You could get a spare filter and heater, as at this time of year if your heater breaks you have a back up.

Great suggestion with the spare heater.

How about a battery powered air pump and if you like gadgets, a digital thermometer?

You could ask for money.
I know its not as much fun as unwrapping something from someone, but5 if thats really what you want.....Thats what you should ask for.
I know I ask for money for random hobby things, and sometimes my outside family (cousin and such) will get me something from...like target, or walmart, or where ever, and they'll attach the receipt.
Then you can return it, and usually they'll either give you store credit, or they'll give you a card that you can spend there.
You can sell that card to one of your parents, then use the money for your fishkeeping.
Thats what I did last year, it worked out ok.
But some things you might want to keep....
