i just vist my lfs n i saw some XXXXXXXXL mollies like ~5-10 of them in a tank, not sure if it new or not, but they r huge ~3-4 inch long but not as round as the normal small 1:blink: they cost $7.99cdn each, just wandering r they normal? r they ok to breed, like breed them to the smaller mollie? like a XXXXXXXL male to XS females, will the female be able to carry the babies? or other way around XS male n XXXXXXL female, will the female hold more babies?

Mollies can get to 4", so I think that's pretty normal.

As for the breeding question...I don't think it would matter if you had a larger male and a smaller female, provided they are both mature. One is just bigger, and probably older then the other.

Standard mollys grow smaller than the large sailfins, standard ones grow to about 3inchs while sailfins to 4 or 5inchs.
Although there is always some size variation amoungst same-type livebearers just as there are in people; some guppys for example only grow to an inch while others 3inchs- the same goes for platys, its all down to genetics.
Usually i find though to bigger the max size and the "sturdier" the structure of the fish, the better quality they are  .

Oh, and about the fry, yes the larger ones whould be able to hold more fry and you will be able to cross-breed them with the smaller mollys. Large sailfins will need much more room though and take even longer to mature and you shouldn't expect to start getting any decent huge batchs of fry until the female has been fully mature for at least a year.
