Well, i took the plunge and bought one, decided against the "lesser" Wii...
Just wondering though, if i put a DVD or a CD into the drive, then would it ask me if i wanted to store it on the HDD or do you need to do it manually some way???

Thanks, Mike
P.S. We're getting a 26" HD LCD TV in the next week, gears of war is gonna look sweeeet!!!

No, in short it won't store the data on the hard drive as that would constitute copying the disc which is illegal. The only things that are stored in the hard drive are game saves, xbox live settings, songs you uploaded to it and pictures also I think.

The xbox 360 has a standard 12x dvd-9 dual layer drive. If however you want to play hd-dvds on it then you'll need to purchase the add-on for it.

Gears of war looks so sweet already on a normal tv, in hi-def it's awesome.

I treated the boyfriend to a 360 for xmas and he treated himself to a 26 inch Hd tv. But now i never see him because he's too engrossed in his games! He has Gears of War and the graphics are impressive but he's currently playing Oblivion (Elder Scrolls). Ha i sound like i know what i'm talking about but i really don't. I only play sports games

Ok thanks for the replys :good:
When i link up my ipod, can i store the songs from there onto the hard drive? Ive tryed to find where to do it, but i cant see where you can select to do it...
Thanks, Mike

My BF got me a 360 and i gotted myself a 42 inch HD plasma lol

COD3 is awesome!

I know, but on the xbox site and in the manual, it says that songs etc can be stored onto the hard drive from a storeage device (i.e the ipod) so it should do it, its just figuring out how...

Thanks, Mike

I doubt it will let you use an iPod as a source for files. Apple and Microsoft don't make their devices or files cross compatible.

you have to download the ipod support from the market place and then you can play tunes from your ipod but apple dont let you take tunes from your ipod full stop.

you cant even get them back on your own PC so if you lose your collection your a bit buggered.

i couldnt believe it but my m8s laptop died and he cant get his tunes back on it.

as for the 360, good choice cos it rocks!!

you have to get a gold account for xbox live tho and a HD tv is a must! ive got a philips 37" HDTV and its my pride and joy lol.

I can imagine it is
I havent got xbox live yet, but will at some point. If i plug the ipod into the xbox it charges the ipod, and i can listen to music through the TV (but cant save it to the hard drive), but i havent connected it to the computer since, so time will tell if it breaks...
