X2 Skunk Loach

I have a 125Ltr tank and it has been overrun with snails for the last few months so i went to my LFS and asked him what would feed on them. He has sold me two Skunk Loach and they have done a fine job indeed of polishing off all the snails.

What worries me is that the two loach are making 'clicking' noises towards each other. This has been going on for a couple of weeks now and i am wondering if the larger one is bullying the smaller one. I can not see any visual signs of stress (except one Angel bullying the other one. Going to sort that this week). Both loach seem happy but i am not so sure everything is rosy in the tank atm.


From what i have read i need to either get rid of them both or introduce 2 or 3 more. The problem is i don't want the rest of the fish in the tank being bullied if i introduce more.

Advice please...

I'm sure that you did your research before you bought them and found out they can be extremely aggressive especially towards long-finned fishes. It grows to 10cm and should be in groups of around 6, preferably more, which means the species is not feasible in your tank. I'd recommend getting an Assassin Snail to keep the snails under control.
