I buy my females from Big Als now and all of them have that tail even the show females I have bought there
thats a female spade tail like my girls
I know because I just Bred my male VT to my female ST gorgeous babies too (2 months old now)

Yeah, females can flare. But my male started small and I thought he was female. He had an ovipositor; but then he grew bigger and that went away.
