Wound Or Disease

I have just noticed a mark on my common plecs back end near the fin , does anyone have any ideas . I have just had problems with medicating the tank for finrot where all the fish went to the top of the tank and were drowsy for a couple of days . Proper dose was used and airstone in tank aswell . I did a large water change and added carbon to get the meds out after advice i got on here . The fish have gone back to normal now . So i dont know if this mark is to do with what happened . The med used was interpets finrot med . The plec was the one with finrot in the first place and now this . Ammonia is 0,nitrite is 0 , nitrate is 20 . All other fish seem to be fine

It looks like a wound to me but then i'm no fish medic. I would perform small water changes to keep things nice and clean and just some observation to make sure things don't get any worse.

May sound a daft question, but do you have a guard on your heater? it could be a burn if you havnt.

I dont have one star , i think you could have solved the mystery . Ive been keeping a close eye on him and he is acting as normal , so hopefully he is alright . Ill look in to getting a cover for it . Thanks to you and skins for the help

looks like a little cut to me. My Bristlenose suffered quite a bad one on his stomach when he tried to squeeze through a log that was too small. Healed within a week. An extra water change this week would do no harm in helping it heal.

I have rescued a few plecs with similar marks & frayed fins from heater burns, daft devils wont move if they are comfy.

it's on his back though which makes me think cut, unless he squeezed between glass and heater.
