Would This Work?

The only problem I can see is Mollies prefer a bit of salt, and some consider them a brackish fish, Corys don't like the salt. We have Mollies we bought a few years ago with corys in complete freshwater with no problems though, I am tempted to set up a tank they can progress to brackish in though so they can live out their days as they should do. Not sure I have room though.

I personally don't think corys and mollies are good tank mates. Mollies definitely prefer brackish waer which is not good for the corys. They really have totally different water requirements. Most corys prefer water with a pH of 6 to 7 and a KH below 10 while mollies prefer a pH of 7 to 8 with a KH above 10.

It's possible but not a very good choice. Mollies prefer brackish conditions, without salt you must keep the water extremely clean or they'll easily catch diseases. Cories however, do not tolerate salt.

i keep my mollies and corys together as you will see by my profile, no problems. although i am looking at putting my Mollie boys in my brackish tank at the moment :)

I'm not saying that they can't be kept together as obviously, a lot of people do it. I'm saying it means that one or the other will be out of their optimal cconditions and have to adapt. The mollies will be able to adapt much easier than the cories as they won't be able to handle the hgh pH/KH and salt.
