3 Clown Loaches

Would this work?

Clown loaches can grow pretty quick and get to a good size. Also, they like to be in large groups as they are community fish. So, 5 or 6 of these guys may be a little too much for your 90... but I'm not an expert on loaches

I wouldn't have the plec, not a big fan of them, produce huge amounts of waste and grow big, sailfins can grow to 2ft. So would probably outgrow you're 90. If you like plecs, try the smaller kinds, though I dont know how they would stand up to the fish.
Oscar, FM and con, plus some CL sounds ok to me.

ox5477, I thought the clown loaches grew pretty slowly as compared to many other fish especially cichlids? Please correct me if I am wrong.

Also, oscars can grow to a size in this tank that they can consider clown loaches as food and in my experience, clowns rarely grow bigger then 5 inches in captivity and more so in a 90g tank and 5inch is a snack size for a fully grown oscar.

An Oscar cannot eat a Clown loach(as long as its not very small/young). Clown loach can grow to 12-16 inch-8 inch likely in a fish tank. They do like to live in groups though so I'd add 4 minimum to your tank. A 5 inch fish is no snack for a Oscar- add them at a time close to adding the (similar sized) Oscar there should be few problems.

Yeah i'd go with the four clown loach, an personally iw ould get all the fish at around 3" and add them together once the tank has cycled. This will give you more enjoyment watching them all grow, (which shouldn't take long) but will also allow them to grow up together, reducing any risk of problems when they are matured.
