3 Mollies
5 Harlequin rasboras
5 Neon tetras
6 corys

Too many do you think?

Maybe lose the tetras and have a bigger shoal of rasboras?

What do you think?

As long as the filtration is upto scratch i dont see a problem with that stocking list.

What are the dimensions of the tank?, 60l could have various shapes.

Its probably very close to the limit, you may want to think about getting 4 corys rather than 6 because it is a fairly small tank speaking from experience as the elite 60 was my first tank so you want enough waste on the bottom of the tank to satisfy them all.

I wouldn't advise adding all them together. Pick one of them groups, add them then wait a week or so before adding another group and so on.

Adding too many fish at once will stress them all out especially the 2 you have at the min.

Also keep an eye of your water stats for any spikes when adding fish as water stats will change very quickly in small tanks, especially as I mentioned before as I dont rate the 'stingray' filter system.

Yeah, i currently have 3 mollies and I'm doing a fish-in cycle (not my fault) been going about 4 weeks and im going to end it by adding mature filter media on wednesday (finally found a fish breeder willing to donate)

My tank is 60 x 35 x 30 cm

Edit: The filter is not a problem, im ditching it soon for a fluval 2+

Oh and, how would i go about adding say, a shoal of harlequin rasboras, say 6-8 without a big ammonia spike?

If you are wanting to add 6-8 I'd probably add them in 2 lots, 3-4 one week then the others a week or so later to give your filter chance to adjust to the new ammonia levels that will be being produced.

So going back to the original idea minus 2 corys...

3 Mollies
5 Harlequin rasboras
5 Neon tetras
4 corys

Would that be considered overcrowded?

You should be ok with that as long as you keep up to your weekly water changes or whenever necessary.

Is that another 3 mollies? or does that list include the 3 you already have?

If it includes the 3 you already have then you'd be fine

Andy

Do not take away 2 of the corys the 6 corys will be fine in that size 60 ltr tank they will all have enough room and as long as you feed them properly they will thrive
the footprint of my aquaone 620t is nearlly the same as that tank , its 62x39 and although i dont recommend you get the 17 i got - as my tank is 130 ltrs , they all have plenty of room down the bottom of the tank

Corys will be happier in a group of 6 than 4

they do not like to be alone or in small groups they thrive when there is a larger group and you WONT be overstocked

I have stingray filter on my 54 ltr tank and have had no problems - if you remove the cartridges and replce them with cut to measure sponge they work perfectly
If you're replacing it go for the 3+ or add the 2+ with the stingray and run the both together (which you will have to do for 4 weeks anyway to get the new filter up )

i have stingrays 5 , 10 and 15 and are all great filters :)

I think there refering to the rest of the stocking list hun, by removing 2 there dropping the load. I dont think it was room issue more a water condition issue.

However i think if you leave the cory's at 6 you still would be ok with the list as long as the filtration is sufficient, but ive kept cory's in groups of 4 and they are fine but i would definitley not go below 4 :)

i think the original plan sounds fine, add the harliquins next, how about cardinals rather than neons, they tend to be more hardier IME

Yeah, i agree. I was looking around today and decided neons are a bit common. I liked the look of the glowlight tetras.

Right, heres my list of what i want.

3 Mollies (already in, 2 adults 1 fry)
5 Harlequin rasboras (putting in first)
5 glowlight tetras (putting in second after a month or so)
6 Sterbai corys (last in after a month or 2)

Sound good?
