i've got a 24uk gallon planted tank 31inches x 13 inches x 15 inches approx.

I'm thinking of one of the following, would either work, and if so which would be best?

1:- 5 Female Bettas and 12 Glowlight tetras or

2:- 1 Betta 8 Glowlight tetras and 8 Neons

Many thanks in advance,

Mark.

If you want other fish in the tank your better off going with the females, although tetras aren't the best choice, i have copper harliquins in my female tank. If you wanted a male then they should really be kept alone to avoid stress or damage to the fish. You could look into dividing the tank??? Good luck with whatever you decide to do x

I'm not sure how many harliquins would be ok to be honest, my tank is slightly bigger than yours but i have 14 females in there so only have 4 harlequins. I would probably go for 5 females and 8 harlequins, however most rasboras should be ok as they are quite a peaceful species. TBH it's down to your personal preference, if it was me i'd only have females in the tank, they are far more interesting than people think! Trouble is there are so many beautiful fish out there it is so hard to choose what to keep. You could still go with dividing the tank into two possibly three sections and keep male bettas, i have a 3 1/2 foot tank divided with 5 males in it x
