Would This Be Ok In My 100 Gallon Tank

if i dint have the maroon clown

could i have a pair of common clowns

and a pair of purple fire fish and could i get the fire fish from two seperate tanks and will they pair up

Fire fish dont usually do well in pairs.

i see no problem with a apir of clowns though

If bought in sexed pairs from lfs they will do better..to buy two and hope they pair off normally results in a death...will be fine with the clowns though and buying two different sized fish from seperate shops is a good idea to try to ensure they aren't related

also which is better a red fire fish or purple or is the only diference the colour

Red are more common and yep seperate species...most lfs bring in batches from tmc and can be from one or several batches so chances are they will be from the one brood

I'd be careful having smaller fish w/that engineer goby. One of my lrc members has an engineer that's getting decently long and eats his smaller fish. He can't add anything small or it goes up missing w/in a few days. He's been trying to add green chromis. A few go missing and then a week or so later a few more disappear

But an established pair of fire fish and 2 clowns should be fine (when the maroon is removed.)

Purple FF are a bit bigger and less scittish than the reds.
